Are you interested in a PhD in Neuroscience? 

The University of Cincinnati Neuroscience Graduate Program (NGP) will hold “Neuro-Horizons,” a three-day workshop, June 28-30^th, 2023, for prospective graduate students who identify themselves as an underrepresented minority (URM) or from a disadvantaged background (DB). This workshop showcases our diverse, interdisciplinary research in neurosciences, excellent facilities, and a collegial environment. The program will include research talks, graduate school application process information sessions, lab tours, and social activities with current students. Selection for this workshop is competitive. We will cover travel, food, and lodging expenses for all students accepted for this workshop, and there is no cost to apply.

Applications for the 2024 Neuro-Horizons workshop (dates TBD) will be accepted starting April 1^st, 2024. 

Eligibility:

• Undergraduates in the sophomore, junior, or senior+ year; postbaccalaureate scholars; and recent college graduates
• Major in STEM areas with an interest in biology and life sciences
• Race/Ethnic identity as an underrepresented minority (URM) and/or disadvantaged background (see https://diversity.nih.gov/about-us/population-underrepresented)

Application Deadline: April 30^th, 2024

• Your curriculum vitae or resume with your biographical and background information, academic history, activities, and experiences (two pages max)
• Current academic transcript (unofficial transcript with Institutional header is acceptable)
• A brief (< 250 words) statement of interest in neuroscience and broad career aspirations

Acceptance: We will notify accepted students by May 10^th, 2024
