Breast Imaging | Ductography/Galactography

A ductogram may be performed in patients experiencing nipple discharge.

During this procedure a thin tube is inserted into the nipple. Contrast agent is then flushed through the tube and into the breast. Mammographic images are obtained, showing the ducts.

The contrast will enable the doctor to see if there is an abnormality in the ducts.
