Positions Available:
The Department of Cancer and Cell Biology at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine currently has postdoctoral fellow positions available under the Training Program in Cancer Therapeutics sponsored by the National Cancer Institute. Highly motivated postdoctoral candidates who have obtained a Ph.D and/or M.D. within the past 3 years and who are citizens of the United States or who currently possess a Green Card are eligible to apply. The postdoctoral candidates will choose to work under the mentorship of one of several preceptors.
Possible areas of research and mentors include the following:
- Nira Ben-Jonathan; The impact of prolactin and dopamine signaling in tumor growth and chemotherapeutic resistance
- Maria Czyzyk-Krzeska; The regulation of gene expression in kidney cancer by the von Hippel-Lindau complex
- Carolyn Price; Telomere structure and its maintenance during cell division
- Susan Waltz; The role of receptor tyrosine kinases and growth factors in hormonally related malignancies
The overall goal of this program is to train promising cancer researchers in the actions of therapeutic agents used in the treatment of cancer.
