Dr. Melanie Cushion, PhD, was one of the 2022 Daniel Drake Medalists, the highest honor awarded by the UC College of Medicine! 

In addition to her role as the MSTP Co-Director of the Senior Physician Scientist Mentor Program, Dr. Cushion is the Senior Associate Dean for Research for the UC College of Medicine - and a Professor in Internal Medicine and Infectious Diseases. 

The Daniel Drake Medal is given to individuals who made "outstanding scholarly achievements in biomedical science as evidenced by major significant contributions to medical research and/or a distinguished career as a clinician-teacher."
