Glenn Talaska, PhD, professor and associate chair in the Department of Environmental Health, has been reappointed to the World Trade Center Health Program’s Scientific and Technical Advisory Committee (STAC) by John Howard, director of NIOSH and Administrator of the Program. Talaska has served on the committee since 2010, and his new appointment runs until 2018. The STAC is responsible for reviewing scientific and medical evidence to make recommendations regarding health conditions related to the 9/11 terrorist attacks and consults on program eligibility criteria or additional health conditions for programs such as the James Zadroga 9/11 Health and Compensation Act of 2010.
