Michael Dourson, PhD, and Patricia Nance, with the Risk Science Center, Department of Environmental Health, are authors on a paper that has been awarded the Society of Toxicology’s (SOT) Regulatory and Safety Evaluation Specialty Section’s (RSESS) Best Paper Contributing to the Field of Regulatory and Safety Evaluation in Toxicology. The paper details different approaches to communicate overall uncertainty in risk assessment using chemical risk assessments from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s Integrated Risk Information System (IRIS) as a case study.

Additionally, Lynne Haber, PhD, with the Risk Science Center, is author on a paper that has been awarded the SOT's Risk Assessment Specialty Section’s (RASS) Best Paper Advancing the Science of Risk Assessment published in 2016. 

Both awards will be presented at the SOT Annual Meeting on March 14.
